A few of our conversions
A basement conversion which was already in use but in poor repair and partially tanked some years ago. The basement had previously flooded due to road works and had been tanked using cavity drainage membrane on the front elevation, but was failing and causing the adjoining walls to wick the ingress of water through the plasterboard.
Barrett Kent stripped the original fixtures and fittings and removed all the plasterworks and previous tanking to the bare walls.
Perimeter drainage channels were cut in the existing floor and a sump and pump system installed. After tanking the walls with cavity drainage membrane floor membrane was installed a floating timber floor laid. A full fit out of metal stud walls, electrics, plumbing and plasterboard followed.
